The Slammer - Episode 7
First broadcast: Friday 3 November 2006, BBC ONE/CBBC Channel, 4:55pm

When the Governor enters the exercise yard he notices a ladder hanging over the prison wall. He's shocked, a prisoner has escaped! His nephew, prison warden Jeremy Gimbert, hasn't seen anything. There's a piece of paper lying on the ground, it's a contract. The Governor pics it up and discovers a showbiz agent is walking round the Slammer! It's time for an emergency meeting.

Peter Nokio is busy putting the finishing touches on his brand new puppet friend, Mr Doughnuthead. It's probably the best puppet the world's ever seen. Pete's friend Titch doesn't like it, he hasn't seen anything that wrong-looking since Micheal Jackson! Melvin unsuspectingly picks up the doughnut that's lying about on the table. But just as he tries to bite in it, he's interrupted by Pete. "That's Mr Doughnuthead!"

An applause is coming from the corridor. The showbiz agent, who got into the Slammer without anyone noticing him, is looking for more talent. He's pretty impressed with Leo, a unicyclist, and offers him a contract, and freedom! Peter Nokio overhears their conversation and wants to perform for the agent as well. "If he likes us, we'll be on a plane to Hollywood before you can say knicker elastic!"

"You may be wondering why I brought a macarel to today's Freedom Showday meeting" the Governor asks his prison wardens. "Someone has allowed an agent to break into the Slammer" he tells them while he slaps Jeremy with the fish. "I can not have agents running around my prison, especially on Freedom Showday. Agents overexcite the prisoners with promises of fame, fortune, and they have a nasty habit of helping them to escape! Now we've got to be particularly careful today, because we've got a particularly brilliant show. The agent will be after acts like Leo the unicyclist, Bruce Airhead, and if he ever gets his hands on McFly, there'll be no Freedom show at all!" The Governor wants this agent caught and released from the Slammer before showtime. He puts Mr Burgess in charge of the operation.

Whilst the meeting is going on, it's time for Peter Nokio's big break. He's performing in front of the agent! His act doesn't go down very well, and the agent promises to be 'in touch'. Pete's very happy! Melvin's still hungry, however, and tries to eat Mr Doughnuthead again! Luckily, Pete's able to stop him. Jeremy and Frank Burgess drop into the cell, still looking for that agent! Melvin and Pete tell them they haven't seen any suspicious looking agents in their cell recently.

It's lunchtime, time for porridge! But when Melvin and Pete go back to their cell they discover Mr Doughnuthead's lost his head! Pete blames Melvin, but it wasn't him!

The agent's still on the loose, and is just about to offer a contract to McFly when Mr Burgess catches him! He can't escape now, as he's handcuffed to the wall! Frank does a little victory dance. The agent finds it amazing and offers Mr Burgess a contract as well! Happy as he is, Frank lets the agent go.

Jeremy Gimbert, Melvin, Pete and Tich are all in the Governor's office when Frank Burgess drops in to tell everyone he's resigning. Just as he's leaving for Hollywood, Jeremy discovers there's something fishy going on with the contract...

It's time for the Freedom Show! In the Freedom Show, the audience decides who gets to leave The Slammer with the help of the Clap-O-Meter. Whoever gets the loudest applause wins a price money can't buy, freedom. The children loved the Bruce Airhead, but decided McFly should leave The Slammer.
